Let me begin with last night... I experienced a major melt down!!!
I was up late and clearly nit thinking straight because I DELETED myself
as the administrator of this blog!!!
I swear I had a panic attack!!!!
THANK God for Brian from WISE GUYS who saved me this morning and added me back to my own blog account!!!! He was a guest blogger here last week and I have him permission to be an author.
See.... EVERYTHING happens for a reason!!!
Needless to say I went to bed at 3:00 a.m {how can you fall asleep when you loose your own blog?!?!}
and I am MAJORLY sleep deprived this morning! Did I mention that I had to be up by 5:30?!?
and that today was the first day of our state exam, the FCAT?!?!?
{sigh.... is it night time already?!?}
The first part of the Reading FCAT took place this morning, and the kids came out with a positive attitude
{They BETTER!!!!}
I let them play board games afterwards and we watched episodes of Saved By The Bell on Netflix.
Each kid brought different items and they had a HUGE breakfast before & after the test.
I embed test prep into our curriculum since day one of school so no reason for the kids not to do well or freak out. One of them actually told me this morning, "It doesn't even feel like we're taking the FCAT today, it feels like a regular day with just another story practice."
I HOPE this is a good sign!!!

Wowza... A nap is in your future! I am sure your students did amazing!
ReplyDeleteAs a former Florida teacher and a sister to a current 3rd grade FL teacher, I'm sending all of you FL girls and your students good FCAT thoughts! My sister called me today to tell me she had a student "christmas tree" the last part of the reading test! Ugh...hang in there, only 3 days left AND your blog is back up and running!
ReplyDeleteOh no - I can only imagine how you freaked out!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGet some rest!!!!

I'm so excited about the notebook packet. Are the pages different than the individual notebook items you have for sale in your TPT store now? I didn't know if it would be a repeat if I purchased them also. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted about it!
ReplyDeleteI am also already signed up for the Everything's Intermediate event. I loved your last one so much that I had to do this new one, too! :)

I am so glad you were able to get back on your blog! Sorry you were up so late....but now at least you know what to do if that ever happens again!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great thing for your student to say about the test. That is what we want by doing test prep all year long right? That the test just seems like another "thing" we do. Good job!
