Freebie Friday - Reading Detective!

I have lots of little update for this week but I'll post those tomorrow :)

For now, I just wanted to share with you a little freebie I created this week.

Engage your students with this non-fiction graphic organizer
and encourage them to become reading detectives!!!

We all know that the key to engaging students in ANY lesson and activity is to turn in into a game!

Encourage your students to become detectives & and encourage a little friendly competition between the students or small groups. (you can even give the students magnifying glasses to work with)

This organizer can be used in L.A, Science, and Social Studies!

I'm a big fan of integrating reading skills across the content areas and wanted to make an organizer that will help my students with their Science curriculum next year.

I would greatly appreciate it if you left me feedback
and would love to know how you would use it in the classroom.

Hope you had a wonderful week!

  1. Thanks for sharing! This will be great for any nonfiction text. Nonfiction can be overwhelming and sometimes boring, but this graphic organizer will keep my students engaged!

    1. Thanks Lisa!!! Totally agree with the boring statement. Which is why I decided on a different approach. Turning it into a game makes it a bit more exciting for them.
