Teacher-Student Reading Conference Freebie!

What a week!!!! Testing was a killer!!! Not the actual test that is because I could care less about it. I know I do the best to prep my kids throughout the year and that they give me their all. BUT.... being bounded to one classroom with no movement, having to babysit the kids after the testing is over until we have an all clear is BRUTAL!!!! Today I didn't even get a break!!! I was in the same room with the same kids form 7:45 A.M till 3 P.M!! I don't know how they put up with me either!

I had a rough parent teacher conference yesterday afternoon and was very close to loosing my teaching license and cursing out that mother. PSYCHO!!!!!  I had to bite my tongue - literally!
Those od you who have read previous posts of mine, it's the mother of the CRAZY kid who ran out on me and disappeared from school and nearly gave me a heart attack!

I'm sorry I haven't been around to post, blog hop, and comment. I'm exhausted between work and grad school and find it difficult to manage it all. My last class is Monday night and I pray that I get through it.
Bare with me just a little longer and I will share some great new foldables & freebies with you once its over.

For now, here's a little freebie I created this week for one of my grad courses.

These student-teacher conference forms were designed part of an Action Research project that focused on motivating students to value reading for leisure. Use these two forms as a recording tool for mini student-teacher conference to get to know your students better and build a personal relationship as you discover their interests, hobbies, reading habits, and preferences. Use the information to help you identify and locate books, magazines, poetry, and other reading materials  to match up texts to the students interests and motivate them to value reading for leisure.
Begin the year with the initial form, and proceed with the follow up every 2-3 weeks.

Now.... of I go to bed with my book :) I need to clear my head a bit.
Anyone read 50 Shades of Grey?!?!

  1. So sorry about the bad conference! I guess the only good thing to say is that it is over. :)

  3. Had 2 of the same types of conferences today also. I feel your pain. Hope you get a good night's rest.

  4. Happy Reading......:-). I could not put those books down....and they are so completely not my normal book genre.

  5. Oh my! I am in the SAME boat as you! Grad school and conferences this week made for a looong week! I can't imagine having testing on top of all of that! Hang in there- can't wait to read more ideas :).

  6. I am sorry the conference was so rough...but it is over now! Phew...thanks for the freebie!

  7. Love the freebie - I just read the Book Whisper and this goes along great! Thanks!
Silly to say - but I read while I dry my hair each morning and I simple could not put down 50 shades of gray - I was late getting out the down. My sweet hubby is out of town all weekend, and I am excited since I can read, read, read in bed without any interuptions!
