I did it!!!!! I finally finished the LAST of my Grad school assignments and I am ready to walk!!!
OK so graduation isn't till the 11th, but I am SOOOOOO ready!
Since I'm officially done with my own homework, I finally had the time to think of my students this weekend. I didn't do anything fun for them in Thanksgiving and feel ridiculously guilty about it.
I wanted to do something fun but meaningful in December but religion free.
Its tough coming up with ideas that would work for the upper elementary grades that aren't "babyish".
That got me thinking about introducing Random Acts of Kindness for my kids.
So......
I created a little power point with a classroom activity for my kids, and as my first RAK I'm sharing it for free with all of you :)
The activity includes creating a RAK Journal, brainstorming RAK ideas as a class,
creating a class goal, and RAK tags (print for students so they can attach to their RAKs).

Pay It Forward by pinning it so other teachers can find it and share it with their students :)
Once students complete the class' goal (and my kids WILL), on the last day of school before break,
I will throw them a Hot Chocolate Bar party & give them time for our book exchange :)
What do you do with your "big" kiddos this time of year?
Would love to hear your thoughts :)
Happy Holidays!

YAYAYAYAYAY for finishing grad school!!!! I'd say celebrate with a drink ... but ... I guess I'll have one for you instead (does that count as my RAK???) ;)

Hi Sweet, Mor!
ReplyDeleteOf course I've already downloaded this item and the wheels are spinning... well, actually, the wheels are sort of sputtering along because my mind works slower and slower as vacation approaches.
Congrats on finishing. I'll celebrate with Jen Runde on your behalf!
